Held on Labor Day annually to honor Coal Miners and Railroad Workers.  Labor Day, September 2, 2024 will be the 32nd time that the event has been held.

 

The event will feature games, raffle prizes, live music and a parade through the historic streets of Pocahontas. Coal Miners and Railroad Workers will ride in an old wagon and will lead the parade.  Each year we feature a guest speaker that will be announced at a later date.

 

Free lunch will be catered.  Last year, Ole Number 3 Restaurant of Pocahontas, Virginia.

 

Each year, local businesses donate prizes and donations that make this event possible, and we wish to thank them in advance for their support this year.
